The challenge
Alex Morgan had been building Promptly for three months. The AI writing assistant was working well, early testers loved it and the product was ready to launch. But the website wasn't.
Alex had tried building the marketing site from scratch twice. The first attempt took two weeks and never looked quite right. The second attempt was abandoned after four days when it became clear that every hour spent on the website was an hour not spent improving the product.
With a launch deadline approaching and a small but growing waitlist of early users expecting something polished, Alex needed a solution that was fast, professional and wouldn't require ongoing maintenance.
The solution
After researching options on the Framer marketplace Alex purchased Solra Pro. The decision came down to three things. The design felt genuinely premium rather than generic. The CMS setup was already done. And the conversion-focused structure meant there was no guesswork about what sections to include or in what order.
Setup took less than a day. Alex replaced the placeholder content with Promptly's messaging, swapped the hero mockup for an actual product screenshot and customized the lime accent color to match Promptly's brand. The blog and changelog were set up and ready to publish within the same afternoon.
The site went live the following morning.
The result
Within 24 hours of launch Promptly had 340 signups from a single post on X. Within the first week that number had grown to 800. By the end of the first month Promptly had crossed 2,000 registered users and converted 180 of them into paying customers.
Alex attributes a significant part of that success to the website's credibility. Several early customers mentioned that the site looked more professional than much larger competitors. Two angel investors reached out after seeing the launch post specifically because the product looked polished and serious.
Promptly has since used the Solra blog to publish weekly content that now drives consistent organic traffic. The changelog keeps users engaged and informed between product updates.
In their words
"I was skeptical that a template could look this good. Every other template I tried looked like a template. Solra looked like we had hired a proper design agency. It completely changed how people perceived Promptly from day one."
